Laughing is all we can do, because this is the most pathetic display of football ever. We knew the Titans would kill them, and they did. The LIONS have no clue what to do. It is beyond sad. It is beyond repair. I have no hope, and I don't care. 6 down, and 2 to go. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

This is the Wayne County Jail. On the 4th floor is where Kwame Kilpatrick, the ex mayor of Detroit is serving time. He has a view of our tailgating. We have a view of his window. Little does he know, we are prisoners too. We are Lions season Ticket holders, and there is no escape, no time for parole. Let's Go Wed Wings!

The Lions are dead last in the league in interceptions, with just two the entire year.
The Lions are among the bottom five teams in the league in scoring offense (17.5 points per game), total yardage (270 yards per game), rushing offense (83.4 yards per game), first downs (14.6 per game) and time of possession.

Tailgate: Jeff's Jerk Chicken was outstanding. Throw in some bean rice thingamajig and some of suzy's blt salad, and we were winners. Lamb chops slipped in too for a first down.

Many many empty seats. What a treat. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Turkey was PERFECT. Creole butter injected, and garlic cajun. Magnifico! Sweet potatoes with apples, apple pie, raspberry pie, cookies, chips, bread with 2 dips, check mix, cider, white castle stuffing, cranberries, deep fried fumbled turkey, fried french fries, chocolate eclair pudding pie. We ate like Kings, and slept like Lions.

Millen Fired

Matt Millen gets fired as President and GM of the Detroit Lions. Great news you say? Well it sure ain't bad news, but great news? Hardly. The damage has been done, and will continue to be here for at least 3 more seasons. However that alone rests on the hope that the new regime will be better (how could it not be???) and improve things. The issue is, the team is still owned by the old man, and he runs the place.

Whomever they bring in, will have a mountain of work to accomplish. The pressure is on. Only time will tell. Afterall, when it comes the Lions, our beloved Motor City Kitties..all we have is time. Hope showed up today for a second, as the Lion nation smirked for the first time in many years.

Detroit Lions vice chairman Bill Ford Jr., at a Detroit Economic Club event Monday, had this to say in response to a reporter’s question about the Lions game on Sunday:

“It was an embarrassment, the fans deserve better, and if I had the authority, I would have fired the general manager,” Matt Millen, Ford said.

When asked again a few minutes later if he would fire Millen, he said, “Yes, but I don’t have that authority.”

The Lions are 0-3. Their latest loss was a 31-13 defeat at San Francisco.

During the early part of Millen's tenure (2001-2003), the Lions failed to win a road game for three years (0-24) before opening the season with a win at the Chicago Bears in 2004. Overall, the Lions are 8-48 on the road since 2001.[5] Millen himself admitted to an interviewer in 2008 that the team's record under his leadership has been "beyond awful". The Wall Street Journal said that NFL executives admit in private that Millen "has made more bad draft decisions than anyone else in two centuries."

Despite the team's record on the field, Matt Millen is the second highest paid general manager in the NFL

Believe in the fact this team still can't tackle. Believe in the fact they miss tackles left and right. Believe in the fact Jon Kitna doesnt go for a first down when the team is down 10 points and slides (aka Scott Mitchell). Believe in the fact that they let a rookie quarterback hardly throw the ball. Believe in the fact over 300 yards were allowed rushing. Believe in the fact that they had midget quarterbacks against our tall recievers and the quarterback couldnt get them the ball. Believe in the same old Lions.
