The New York Football Giants came to Motown for the first time in 10 years, and they left with a victory. If you ask me, an easy victory handed to them by inept play calling, poor quarterbacking, and as usual poor coaching. 3 quarters the game was a complete snoozer, then the Lions tried to mount a comeback, but it was too little too late.
I've left many games in disgust over the years, many games just depressed or shaking my head. But this game really left me mad. Mad as hell. What a complete and utter joke. What topped it off was the Lions giving the Giants a field goal rather than getting better field position and a chance to get the ball back. However even more signficant was throwing a bomb to midget Shaun MacDonald when your 2 giant wide outs are nowhere to be found! - interception.
The fact is, it is the NFL and any team can win on any given Sunday. However when it comes to worst franchise in sports, the odds are usually against them. This is not to take away their 6 wins, but we all knew it was a fraud. They still have a chance, but now it is even more slim to make the playoffs...but our hopes if any are dwindling by the day. I wouldnt even call it a hope, it was more of a "maybe".
Next up...the Pack on Thanksgiving. Gobble Gooble Favre returns for his 5th last appearance at Ford Field. Can't wait. At least I don't have to watch the game on tv and hear the Favre love affair every few minutes.
The New York Daily News interviewed Eric. Read it the entire article here:

"The fact that they weren't on TV (all the time), every Lions fan growing up as a kid had a favorite AFC team," Eric Alessandri, one of the organizers of last year's walkout, said of several past Lions games that were blacked out locally due to the cavernous Silverdome not being sold out. "Barry Sanders walking away from the Lions really mirrored the way Lions fans felt all these years. There are a ton of Lions fans in the metro area who have completely walked away from the team and are totally uninterested with any of the success the Lions are having now."The Tailgate: Popa's Bada Bing chili was pretty good. A little greasy, and little too much green pepper, but it was very tasty. Impressive from a guy that's never been in a kitchen before.
We had the East Side Cerrioti Crew show up and pillage our food, the lovely and talented Corrie, Carmine the heavy drinker, George and Jim K. Good eats, good drinks...good times.
Joanne came through on the shots. Well done barkeep!
Jeff forgot his jersey. We are all very mad at him.
